I grew up on Mel Brooks and his movies and comedy. Mel is a fantastic story teller but as i read his book, I got the feeling that he was actually talking to me, telling me his life story, one on one. Reading his story brought back so many memories of my own, watching films like Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein in the movie theater with my high school buddies back in the 70’s when I first came to the realization of what the term “you could die laughing” really meant. This book is a must read for anyone who is a Mel Brooks fan. For those who aren’t fans, watch out. You may very well be one by the time you finish reading this book.
